Begoña Barrera holds a PhD in Contemporary History, with International Mention, at the University of Seville (Spain). She is currently Associate Lecturer at the Department of Contemporary History in the same institution. Her main fields of specialization are the study of Francoist Dictatorship from a cultural and political perspective, as well as the Roma Studies, focused on Romani History in post-World War II France. Her work combines innovative historiographical approaches: History of Emotions, Biographical History and Gender History.
