Our colleague María Sierra delivered a conference on “The Roma genocide under the Nazism: History and Memory” on October 7, 2021 as the official inauguration of the Master in Contemporary History and Current World organised by the University of Barcelona.
Since 2010 every 2nd of August a group of young Roma and non Roma come together in the Extermination Camp of Auchwitz Birkenau to commemorate the Roma Genocide Memorial Day.
Our colleague Eve Rosenhaft has just published an article about the history of Romani people after the end of the WWII. We strongly recommend its reading, for the abuses towards these groups in the aftermath of the conflict is a history that still needs to be told and known.
